I recently stumbled across a service that allows you to publish multiple links via a tiny URL address. This is particularly useful when you want to post many links to social networking sites such as twitter and facebook. Creating a new post for each link while you attempt to stay under the 140 character limit can irritate your followers.
The solution is MultiUrl. The website allows you to build a set of links into a tiny url. I emailed the developers and received a very speedy reply from Vlad Khorkhorov.
Q and A with the Vlad from MultiUrl
Question: What are some intended uses for MultiUrl?
Answer: MultiUrl can be used for various purposes such as:
- Sharing your favorite sites.
- Sharing topic related sites Sharing download links.
- Simply tracking clicks.
- Hiding original URL (useful for affiliates).
- Shortening links
Question: Have you created any other web tools like multi url for the general public?
Answer: Not at this time, we’re mostly a web development company rather than web services. We do however have a dating online software at http://www.vldpersonals.com
Question: Do you ever plan to make money off of the service via advertising?
Answer: Not with MultiURL, we built this service to get our name out there that may help us with our other possible future projects.
Question: What made you look at tiny url in the first place? Did you think to yourselves “We can do this better?”.
Answer: We were actually looking at the ability of combining URLs rather than shortening them. Being in web development business, we constantly exchange links with clients, so we needed something to make it easier. Shortening came in later since it’s so popular these days.
Thanks for the feedback Vlad.
Some other things to note about MultiUrl.
- The links are case sensitive.
- The service is completely free.
- Links never expire so long as they are clicked once per year.
- Links can be password protected.
- Batch sets of links can be copied in easily with the batch mode option on the page. Just copy and paste your text file full of links. This is particularly useful for sharing exported bookmarks.
- You can choose different view modes for your links.

‘Do you ever plan to make money off of the service via advertising’
Do you ever plan to make money FROM the service via advertising. Much better grammar, and would have save your typing.
